One of the best animated series of the early 21st century “Samurai Jack” will come back to Cartoon Network in a month. For the announcement, the channel has prepared a short and very stylish teaser.
The fifth season will consist of ten episodes and is intended to give the proper finish to stories of samurai, lost in the dark future.
Series creator Genndy Tartakovsky noted that the new season would be a “soft reload” – it does not require of new viewers to watch the previous four seasons on a mandatory basis to understand the plot.
The series, which started in August 2001, was recognized by a minimalist and gloomy visual style, leisurely and very mature for a cartoon of that time, and particular approach to the structure of episodes. In the new season, the creators promise to make “Jack” even darker and more mature.
The premiere episode will be released on 11 March.
