It’s not rare for bad things to happen, and it’s also not rare for good things to happen too. But nevertheless what you go through, you need to learn to forgive and love the people around you, because that is the only way you can be entirely happy.
I am an avid fan of trying to understand people; trying to decipher what they’re thinking and what they’re feeling. It’s basically like an obsession of mine, which probably explains why I spend the majority of my time reading psychological books and researching into the depths of astrology. Did you know that the the placement of the planets at the time of our birth plays a major role in how we turn out to be? Our personalities and emotional world and whatnot. It’s pretty fascinating. But, I’m getting off topic here (like always). What I’m trying to say is that I love talking to people and learning about what makes them smile and laugh, what makes them utterly mad, etc. Some people are like open books, their emotions are openly displayed and it’s not a difficult task to know what they’re feeling because they show you. But some people are impossible to comprehend. Their actions, their feelings, everything. I’ve recently encountered the latter type, who consequently inspired this post.
Some people have so much negativity inside of them, so much hate that I wonder how they can survive without suffocating. Because the truth is that when you hate someone, you’re causing more harm to yourself than the person you’re hating on. I don’t understand the hate. Sure people can hurt you, whether willingly or unwillingly, and it’s completely okay that you don’t want anything to do with them. But hate? Why would you put yourself through all the negative mojo that hate can cause?
“Resentment is like drinking poison and then hoping it will kill your enemies.” Nelson Mandela
Forgiveness is the key to happiness. Learn to forgive, surround yourself with positive emotions and get rid of the bad. Appreciate the people around you, the ones who love and care for you. Don’t take anything for granted.
The world needs a lot of loving and kind people right now. And if you can’t find one, then be one.
