Women Who Changed The History of The World

How many inspiring women do you know, who managed to leave an irreplaceable trace in the history of mankind? The number is quite high. Being brave, smart, caring and vigorous they did not afraid of the future and had their mite in creating the world that we witness today.

Let’s get acquainted with some of the women who managed to change our history.

Jeane Baret

She was the first female who circumnavigated the world. Dressing like a man Jeane introduced herself to be a botanist and went to sailing as an assistant of a sailor. Several years later she returned from her voyage to Paris and presented 300 types of plants due to which the agriculture of Paris flourished. Jeane received a huge reward from the French government for her devotion and effort.


Malala Yousafzai

Malala Yousafzai was born in the Swat district of northwestern Pakistan. After having blogged for the BBC since 2009 about her experiences during the Taliban’s growing influence in the region, in 2012 the Taliban attempted to assassinate Malala Yousafzai on the bus. She survived but underwent several operations in the UK. Malala was never afraid to fight for the justice and demand freedom from Taliban regime. She is still fighting for the women’s educational issues and does everything to solve those problems. Malala,19, is the youngest female who has been awarded a Noble Prize.


Grace Hopper

Computer programmer Grace Hopper invented the first compiler for a computer programming language. She was the first lady who became a doctor of science. At the age of 37, she voluntarily became a rear admiral in the U.S. Navy. Moreover, Grace wrote a valuable program for the first computer Mark 1 at Harvard University. A ship and a supercomputer were named after her. Later, Grace Murray Hopper prize was created for the most talented programmers.
